Il pericolo incombente di chi lavora in un’azienda (o in questo caso una redazione) conosciutissima al mondo, è che può fare delle confidenze personali agli amici  mettendo a rischio l’incolumità aziendale. I più pericolosi tra gli amici, sono quelli dei social network che hanno la fama di avere la “bocca larga”. Secondo quanto dichiarato da Marcus Brauchli, editor del Washington Post: “Recenti circostanze hanno portato alla mia attenzione alcune voci pubblicate online che sono incompatibili con i nostri standard, di conseguenza, abbiamo deciso di accelerare il completamento di queste linee guida“.

Ebbene si, linee guida scritte per i redattori con un insieme di principi standard che devono regolare tutte le attività dei dipendenti quando scrivono post sui social network.
L’allarme arriva dal blog dell’ombudsman Andrew Alexander che ha dichiarato che non tutti i cinguettii di Twitter sono proprio innoqui per il bene aziendale.

Raju Narisetti, editor di punta del Post, ha dovuto immediatamente chiudere il proprio profilo Twitter a seguito dell’intervento sulla riforma sanitaria, lasciando a bocca asciutta ben 90 follower. Egli ha dichiarato che: “I social network sono mezzi di comunicazione e parte integrante delle nostre vite quotidiane. Possono essere strumenti di valore nel raccogliere e disseminare notizie e informazioni. Ma i social media creano anche delle serie minacce che dobbiamo riconoscere. Che li si usi per fare cronaca o per raccontare la propria vita privata, bisogna ricordare che i giornalisti del Washington Post sono sempre giornalisti del Washington Post“.

Proprio per evitare conseguenze di difficile risoluzione, il quotidiano ha quindi consigliato ai propri dipendenti di seguire scrupolosamente le linee guida stilate sia per la tutela del giornale che per la propria privacy. Dalle linee guida stilate dal “Post” si legge che: “I nostri giornalisti devono evitare di pubblicare tutto quello che potrebbe far trasparire preferenze su temi religiosi, razziali e sessuali; favoritismi che potrebbero macchiare la credibilità professionale”.

    -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now
    on whenever a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the same comment.
    Perhaps there is an easy method you are able to remove me from that
    service? Thanks a lot!
