Twitter, aggiornate le regole contro gli abusi

Nel corso degli ultimi mesi il team di Twitter ha lavorato davvero molto per cercare di combattere il più possibile la piaga del bullismo e quella degli abusi attraverso il celebre servizio di microblogging.

A tal proposito, di recente Twitter ha cominciato a lavorare per poter offrire ai suoi utenti nuovi strumenti miranti a segnalare con più facilità le attività di buissimo all’interno della piattaforma, il tutto contestualmente alla creazione di un team apposito dedicato alla salvaguardia degli iscritti.

Proseguendo sulla medesima linea Twitter ha poi provveduto ad aggiornare le regole dell’utilizzo del social network. Le modifiche apportate al regolamento vanno a mettere ben in risalto come Twitter non tolleri comportamenti destinati a molestare, intimidire o utilizzare la paura per mettere a tacere altri utenti.

L’aggiunta più significativa riguarda una nuova sezione del regolamento che vieta un comportamento odioso che prenda di mira gli utenti in base alla loro razza, nazionalità, orientamento sessuale, genere, identità di genere, età, disabilità o malattia. La norma vieta anche la creazione di account multipli con lo scopo primario di creare un danno verso gli altri in base a tali categorie.

Anche se queste nuove regole rappresentano un passo importante per Twitter è bene sottolineare che avranno poco valore se il social network non saprà applicare le giuste azioni facendole rispettare rigorosamente. Staremo a vedere come si evolverà la situazione. La speranza è comunque quella che il team di Twitter riesca effettivamente ad intensificare il controllo all’interno della piattaforma per permettere di eliminare definitivamente il fenomeno dell’abuso.
