La CNN accusa Twitter di allarmismo

Quanto è accaduto nelle ultime ore su Twitter è emblematico per testare la rapidità del diffondersi di una notizia, una volta che questa viene messa online. In seguito all’allarme della febbre suina, gli utenti del servizio di micro-blogging hanno dato il via ad un gigantesco tam tam di informazioni sull’epidemia. L’effetto però si è rivelato ben lontano dai traguardi del citizen journalism che Twitter si prefigge di mantenere.

La nota emittente americana CNN ha accusato Twitter di cattiva gestione nell’ambito delle notizie relative all’epidemia di febbre suina scoppiata in Messico, e rapidamente diffusasi anche negli Stati Uniti. Una disinformazione che è cresciuta un Twitt dopo l’altro, e ha creato panico e falsi allarmi.

Secondo la CNN, la maggior parte dei post presenti su Twitter conterrebbero notizie infondate, e questo arrecherebbe un danno ancora più grave alla popolazione americana. La confusione sarebbe generata soprattutto dal fatto che anche la Sanità fa ricorso a Twitter per informare il paese, ma nel caos delle ultime ore non è stato possibile distinguere fra le notizie ufficiali e quelle invece non attendibili. Attualmente la sola fonte di informazione “ufficiale” autorizzata a dare notizie sulla febbere suina è il Center for Disease Control.

But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

You might add a related video or a pic or two to get readers interested about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it might bring your postsblog a little livelier.
