I vertici di Twitter hanno deciso di rendere disponibile per tutte le piattaforme con cui è possibile utilizzare il celebre servizio di microblogging il pulsante grazie al quale si ha l’opportunità di segnalare eventuali abusi effettuati mediante la pubblicazione dei tweet.

Infatti, per quanto quella del twittare possa essere considerata come una tra le attività preferite dalla maggior parte degli internauti non tutti i contenuti che vengono condivisi su Twitter risultano, per così dire, innocui.

In un social network iperpopolato quale, appunto, Twitter, gli abusi non mancano così come dimostra l’esperienza dell’utente Caroline Criado Perez (‏@CCriadoPerez) che dopo tre giorni di minacce di stupro tramite Twitter ha deciso di mettersi in contatto con i piani alti del cinguettante social network per cercare di mettere un punto alla questione. Una missione questa che, stando ai fatti, sembra essere riuscita alla perfezione.

Tony Wang, General Managere Twitter UK, ha infatti esaminato attentamente la questione pubblicando poi una serie di tweet mediante i quali ha spiegato che Twitter prende in seria considerazione l’abuso online e che attualmente sono in fase di test dei sistemi molto semplici tramite i quali gli utenti avranno la possibilità di inviare avvisi per segnalare ai piani alti del social network il verificarsi di situazioni di questo tipo.

Al momento è possibile segnalare eventuali abusi soltanto dall’app Twitter per device iOS sfruttando il comando Segnala Tweet che consente anche di specificare il motivo permettendo all’utente di scegliere tra spam, compromesso, offensivo e blocca utente. Sul web e su altri device la funzionalità non è stata ancora implementata. Una rappresentante del social network ha però provveduto a far sapere che il team di Twitter ha intenzione di rendere disponibile il pulsante mediante il quale segnalare abusi anche su altri device mobile e, ovviamente, per la versione web del social network.

3. L’interessato ha diritto di ottenere:

a) l’aggiornamento, la rettificazione ovvero, quando vi ha interesse, l’integrazione dei dati;

b) la cancellazione, la trasformazione in forma anonima o il blocco dei dati trattati in violazione di legge, compresi quelli di cui non è necessaria la conservazione in relazione agli scopi per i quali i dati sono stati raccolti o successivamente trattati;

c) l’attestazione che le operazioni di cui alle lettere a) e b) sono state portate a conoscenza, anche per quanto riguarda il loro contenuto, di coloro ai quali i dati sono stati comunicati o diffusi, eccettuato il caso in cui tale adempimento si rivela impossibile o comporta un impiego di mezzi manifestamente sproporzionato rispetto al diritto tutelato.

4. L’interessato ha diritto di opporsi, in tutto o in parte:

a) per motivi legittimi al trattamento dei dati personali che lo riguardano, ancorché pertinenti allo scopo della raccolta;

b) al trattamento dei dati personali che lo riguardano a fini di invio di materiale pubblicitario o di vendita diretta o per il compimento di ricerche di mercato o di comunicazione commerciale.
