Intel si avvicina al social network

Anche casa Intel si avvicina sempre di più ai social network e lo fa nel modo più produttivo possibile. Puntando il tutto sul nuovo sistema operativo Moblin 2.0 dedicato ai netbook, con un’integrazione totale per i social network studiata appositamente.
La nuova interfaccia grafica del sistema operativo Intel Moblin versione 2 è stata presentata come prima beta ed ha riportato delle novità alquanto interessanti per il collegamento diretto alle piattaforme quali Facebook, MySpace et similia.
Ma diamo uno sguardo più da vicino al nuovo prodotto di Intel e vediamo cosa sta succedendo. Il sistema operativo è in versione open source (dall’inglese sorgente aperto) e cioè che è creato basandosi sulla collaborazione condivisa di più autori che sono i detentori dei diritti ed è basato su motore Linux sviluppato per avere la massima compatibilità con i nuovi CPU modello Atom. Si presenta graficamente studiato apposta per netbook di ultima generazione con piattaforma Web 2.0 oriented.
L’annuncio di questo software arriva in concomitanza con l’annuncio del nuovo hardware basato su piattaforma Atom 45 nm chiamata Pine Trail che è un ibrido di CPU Pine View di tipo SoC (system-on-chip) a 2 chip studiata per ridurre i consumi ed aumentare di conseguenza l’autonomia.
Ma tornando all’integrazione dei social network su Moblin, si può vedere che la nuova interfaccia grafica integra in se molti widget dedicati e soprattutto un browser basato su Mozilla Firefox che grazie alle performance della nuova GUI permette un’integrazione a 360° con più dell’80% dei social network. E’ prevista inoltre una M_zone che permette di tenere sempre sotto controllo le principali attività dell’utente tra cui per il web: attività recenti, file e Siti Web recentemente utilizzati, aggiornamenti dai propri account di social network.
Questo pannello è utile per controllare e gestire tutti i propri account. Il sistema operativo è stato sviluppato utilizzando la nuova libreria software open-source Clutter Intel Moblin v2.0 beta e può essere scaricato come immagine (live) di 321 Mb dal sito di riferimento.
