Facebook Home HTC First

Alle 19:00, ora italiana, di ieri ha avuto luogo l’evento Facebook di cui si discuteva oramai da giorni a questa parte ed in occasione del quale Mark Zuckerberg ed il suo team avrebbero dovuto presentare, secondo i rumors, il tanto chiacchierato Facebook Phone.

Quel che però è stato annunciato ha si a che vedere con il mondo del mobile ma si tratta di un qualcosa di profondamente diverso rispetto a quanto pronosticato.

Mark Zuckerberg, infatti, ha presentato Facebook Home per Android, una nuova interfaccia che offre un’esperienza d’utilizzo della piattaforma completamente rinnovata, ed HTC First, il primo smartphone che integra Facebook Home.

Confermando le ipotesi avanzate ieri pomeriggio, con Facebook Home il social network risulta ora totalmente integrato in Android e non vi è più alcuna distinzione tra OS e app.

Con Facebook Home i contenuti vengono portati direttamente in primo piano fornendone il maggior numero possibile e canalizzando inoltre l’attenzione degli utenti sulla persona e sui contatti degli stessi sul social network.

Facebook Home, infatti, fornisce notifiche facenti riferimento alle persone e non alle applicazioni permettendo quindi di avere sempre sotto controllo tutti i contenuti importanti condivisi da un determinato contatto.

L’interfaccia di Facebook Home si controlla facilmente mediante gesture e consente di passare rapidamente alle app tramite un semplice swipe.

Tutte le proprie app preferite possono essere trascinate direttamente nella schermata di avvio.

Facebook Home, inoltre, pone un occhio di riguardo nei confronti dei messaggi.

D’ora in avanti, quindi, sfruttando Chat Heads sarà possibile rispondere a un messaggio di un utente cliccando sul pop-up dalla sua foto profilo aprendo in tal modo la conversazione senza la necessità di abbandonare l’attività in corso.

Facebook Home sarà disponibile gratuitamente su Google Play a partire dal 12 aprile.

Inizialmente Facebook Home potrà essere impiegato soltanto su alcuni smartphone ma successivamente la lista verrà estesa risultando inoltre comprensiva di svariati modelli di tablet.

HTC First

A conferma dei rumor degli ultimi giorni, nel corso dell’vento Facebook Peter Chou, il CEO di HTC, ha presentato HTC First, uno smartphone pensato per unire l’esperienza mobile e quella del social network e che presenterà Facebook Home installato di default.

HTC First

Lo smartphone risulta caratterizzato da un design minimale, dalla presenza di un display da 4.3 pollici, da quella di tre tasti capacitivi sotto lo schermo e da quella di una fotocamera posteriore da 5 megapixel.

Lo smartphone è dotato di un processore dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, integra il supporto alla connettività 4G LTE ed è basato su Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

HTC First sarà disponibile nei colori rosso, azzurro, bianco e nero e verrà commercializzato negli Stati Uniti a partire dal 12 aprile al prezzo di 99 dollari.

HTC First arriverà anche in Europa ma per il momento non è stata comunicata una data di lancio.
