Facebook ha deciso di intraprendere un’azione forte contro le applicazioni di terze parti che hanno abusato della popolare piattaforma per violare la privacy e diffondere i dati degli utenti nei loro banner pubblicitari, e dal 3 agosto cambieranno le linee guida degli ads presenti sul social network.

Un esempio: nella colonna di destra non troverete più banner con sotto le facce dei vostri amici, a meno che questa pubblicità non sia stata approvata da Facebook. E d’ora in poi agli sviluppatori di applicazioni di terze parti non sarà più consentito di inviare i dati degli utenti Facebook ad aziende o alle compagnie di pubblicità per le loro ricerche di mercato.

Sfortunatamente, molti hanno già abusato di queste campagne, e niente si potrà fare contro chi ha già venduto i vostri dati a terzi. Tuttavia, questo è un passo importante per chi crede nella tutela della privacy individuale.
