Da novembre niente WhatsApp su diversi smartphone Android ed iPhone

Niente da fare per il supporto da WhatsApp per determinati smartphone, considerando il fatto che a partire dallo scorcio finale del 2021, determinati dispositivi non potranno continuare ad utilizzare l’app in questione. Secondo i rapporti, WhatsApp terminerà il supporto su alcuni vecchi smartphone Android e iOS nel 2021, con un focus sul mese di novembre. Cerchiamo di capire in quale direzione stia andando la piattaforma in questione, secondo quanto raccolto fino a questo momento.

L’app di messaggistica di proprietà di Facebook smetterà di funzionare sui telefoni che non funzionano almeno con i sistemi operativi iOS 9 o Android 4.0.3. Questo è stato segnalato per la prima volta da news18.com che afferma che quanto segue si applicherà il prossimo anno.

Per gli iPhone, tutti i modelli di iPhone fino all’iPhone 4 perderanno il supporto per iPhone. Ciò significa che coloro che utilizzano iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 e iPhone 6S dovranno aggiornare il proprio sistema operativo a iOS 9 o versioni successive per continuare a utilizzare WhatsApp.

Provando ad analizzare il discorso sul versante Android, la lista diventa inevitabilmente più lunga. WhatsApp smetterà di funzionare su smartphone con una versione Android precedente alla 4.0.3. Non molti dispositivi attualmente funzionano con una versione di Android precedente alla 4.0.3. Tuttavia, alcuni dei modelli sono HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razr e Samsung Galaxy S2.

Ricapitolando, il riepilogo degli smartphone che da novembre 2021 non verranno più supportati da WhatsApp si presenta come segue:

  • Samsung:  Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy SII, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Core e Galaxy Ace 2.

  • LG:  Lucid 2, Optimus F7, Optimus F5, Optimus L3 II Dual, Optimus F5, Optimus L5, Optimus L5 II, Optimus L5 Dual, Optimus L3 II, Optimus L7, Optimus L7 II Dual, Optimus L7 II, Optimus F6, Enact , Optimus L4 II Dual, Optimus F3, Optimus L4 II, Optimus L2 II, Optimus Nitro HD e 4X HD e Optimus F3Q.

  • ZTE:  Grand S Flex, ZTE V956, Grand X Quad V987 e Grand Memo.

  • Huawei:  Ascend G740, Ascend Mate, Ascend D Quad XL, Ascend D1 Quad XL, Ascend P1 S e Ascend D2.

  • Sony:  Xperia Miro, Sony Xperia Neo L, Xperia Arc S.

  • Alcatel:  One Touch Evo 7

  • Altri:  Archos 53 Platinum, HTC Desire 500, Caterpillar Cat B15, Wiko Cink Five, Wiko Darknight, Lenovo A820, UMi X2, Faea F1 e THL W8.

iOS

  • Apple: iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus.
