Come provare in anteprima il Graph Search di Facebook

A gennaio di quest’anno Mark Zuckerberg e la sua squadra hanno presentato il Graph Search. Si tratta di una nuova funzionalità di ricerca per i contenuti indicizzati su Facebook in grado di fornire risposte alle domande fatte dagli utenti senza fastidiosi intermediari.

Il Graph Search per il momento non risulta utilizzabile da tutti gli utenti Facebook. La nuova funzionalità, infatti, è stata attivata soltanto negli Stati Uniti. È però possibile mettere in atto un apposito trucchetto che consente di provare il Graph Search in anteprima.

Quindi, se sei curioso di sperimentare il Graph Search di Facebook e non ne puoi proprio più di aspettare che Mark Zuckerberg ed il suo team decidano di attivare anche a te la nuova funzione non ti resta nient’altro da fare se non seguire l’apposito tutorial proposto di seguito.

  1. Accedi a Facebook immettendo i tuoi dati di login.
  2. Clicca sull’icona a forma di ingranaggio posta nella parte in alto a destra della barra blu di Facebook e seleziona la voce Impostazioni account dal menu visualizzato.
  3. Dalla pagina che andrà ad aprirsi fai click su Modifica accanto alla voce Lingua.
  4. Clicca sulla freccia rivolta verso il basso accanto alla voce Scegli lingua principale: e dal menu a cascata visualizzato seleziona English (US).
  5. Clicca su Salva modifiche.

Fatto! Modificando la lingua di default del tuo account Facebook da Italiano ad English (US) il Graph Search è stato attivato anche a te! Questo succede perché, appunto, la nuova funzionalità per il momento è stata attivata soltanto per gli utenti USA.

Sappi che puoi utilizzare Facebook in lingua inglese sin quando lo desideri ma che una volta impostata nuovamente la lingua italiana il Graph Search non sarà più attivo, almeno non sino a quando la nuova funzione non verrà resa disponibile anche in Italia.

Ma come si usa il Graph Search di Facebook?

Sicuramente dopo aver modificato la lingua del tuo account Facebook ti starai chiedendo come si utilizza, concretamente, la nuova funzione di Facebook, specie se non conosci bene l’inglese.

Puoi cominciare ad utilizzare il Graph Search di Facebook digitando una domanda, in lingua inglese, nella barra di ricerca del social network. Scrivendo ad esempio una frase del tipo Friends who live in Napoli and like Lorenzo Jovanotti Cherubini visualizzerai tutti i tuoi amici che abitano a Napoli e a cui piace la musica di Jovanotti.

Dalla pagina dei risultati di ricerca puoi anche utilizzare la sidebar posta sulla destra per affinare la ricerca applicando specifici filtri (sesso, età etc.).

Da questa posizione puoi anche effettuare ricerche online utilizzando il motore di ricerca Bing. Per farlo digita la frase Web Search: seguita dalla keyword che intendi cercare online, ad esempio Web Search: IoChatto.
