Anonymous account Twitter hackerato

La vicenda, per certi versi esilarante, dei profili Twitter di Burger King e di Jeep hackerati ha fatto il giro dell’intero globo terrestre in pochi minuti ma quanto accaduto nel corso delle ultime ore assume sicuramente ben più importanza poiché ad essere stato preso di mira è il collettivo Anonymous.

Stando infatti a quelle che sono le ultime notizie al momento disponibili giovedì scorso l’account Twitter di Anonymous è stato violato.

A rubare la password dell’account @Anon_Central pare siano stati i “colleghi” del gruppo Rustle League, un gruppo di hacktivisti minore e meno organizzato che sta cercando di guadagnare notorietà, in base a presunte rivendicazioni appare proprio sulla timeline del profilo del celebre gruppo di hacker.

Il profilo Twitter di Anonymous, infatti, è stato “trasformato”, per breve tempo ed analogamente a quanto accaduto nei giorni scorsi, nell’account del gruppo Rustle League.

Al momento, comunque, non vi è ancora nulla di certo e, sopratutto, non è stato indicato alcun utente specifico.

L’account è tornato nuovamente sotto il controllo di Anonymous dopo circa 3 ore.

La notizia ha destato grande scalpore in rete, e non solo, poiché proprio gli hacktivisti Anonynmous, protagonisti in passato di numerosi defacing e di altre azioni dimostrative online, sono invece rimasti vittime.

“La ragione per cui Anonymous si è ritrovata nel ruolo di vittima è probabilmente dovuto a una debolezza umana” spiega Graham Cluley, consulente senior di Sophos, aggiungendo inoltre che “è probabile che abbiano usato delle password deboli o che abbiano usato la stessa password per più account“.

“Tutti dovrebbero imparare come scegliere una buona password da questo tipo di incidente” poichè, ha continuato Cluley, “se può succedere ad Anonymous può succedere a chiunque“.

A tal proposito proprio qualche giorno fa, conseguenzialmente all’attacco hacker a Twitter che aveva portato alla compromissione di oltre 250 mila account, i piani alti del cinguettante servizio di social networking avevano invitanto gli utenti ad utilizzare password da almeno 10 caratteri e costituite da lettere, da numeri e da simboli.
