Che fine ha fatto Socl? Un nuovo video per il social network Microsoft

Le ultime indiscrezioni davano per certo il lancio di Socl, nuovo social network targato Microsoft, per aprile/maggio di quest’anno. Ma a tutt’oggi Socl ha ancora troppi aspetti sperimentali, e l’impressione è quella di trovarsi davanti un social dal carattere poco definito, che mescola tante cose senza trovare una sua strada, una sua personalità.

Socl sembra un ibrido tra un social network e un motore di ricerca, con l’aggiunta di alcuni optional come la chat video, simile ai videoritrovi di Google+ ma che comunque funziona molto bene.

Con Socl puoi effettuare una ricerca video e condividerla con i tuoi amici, e poi discuterne insieme in chat. Abbastanza insolito per un network, non è vero? Però nel video qui sotto, Socl non viene presentato come un social network bensì come “una nuova esperienza di ricerca per gli studenti”. Se poi consideriamo che si può accedere a Socl anche con Facebook Connect, ci viene il dubbio che il social network di Microsoft alla fine non sarà affatto un social network, ma un servizio con delle finalità diverse.
