Latte su Facebook: rischi

Facebook è diventato strumento principale nel mondo, per la donazione del latte materno alle mamme che ne hanno poco. Il social network starebbe quindi essendo portatore di una pratica sempre più diffusa e che in maniera molto rapida, a partire dall’Europa e passando per gli Stati Uniti d’America ed il Paesi Asiatici, sta creando anche qualche disagio.

La pratica infatti, sembra comportare rischi anche abbastanza gravi, secondo l’ultimo bollettino diffuso dalle Autorità Sanitarie mondiali. Questo perché i contatti attraverso il social network, non avvengono seguendo dei corretti controlli sanitari.
Facebook è portatore di questo evento addirittura con un movimento che prende il nome di: “Milk 4 Human Babies”. Si tratta di una rete mondiale che nasce proprio con lo scopo di raccogliere e distribuire il latte materno tra chi ne ha troppo, e chi invece non ne ha.

Sul social network, alla pagina di riferimento si può vedere che ci sono già migliaia di iscritti e che continuamente si scambiano oltre a latte vero e proprio anche consigli e suggerimenti sull’allattamento.
Ovviamente, alla pagina unica mondiale, vanno ad aggiungersi tutte le pagine “locali” di tutti i Paesi che l’hanno create. L’Italia ad esempio ha da poco superato il centinaio di iscritti e secondo le Autorità non è una buona cosa. Il professor Jean-Claude Picard, presidente delle Banche del latte materno in Francia, ha dichiarato che: “Il diffondersi di questo tipo di donazione significa che le mamme comprendono sempre di piu’ l’importanza e i vantaggi del latte materno, ma non i rischi che questa pratica comporta”.

Purtroppo i virus che trasmette il latte materno è pericoloso e ben il 3,3% del latte materno donato lo contiene. Le infezioni più comuni sarebbero la sifilide, l’epatite B, l’epatite C, HTLV e l’HIV. Di conseguenza, ci preme dire che seppur siamo affezionati e parliamo spesso di social network e vantaggi, ricordiamoci anche delle cose serie.
