Facebook: il segreto del suo successo? Fa bene all’umore

Ma perchè Facebook ha così tanto successo tra i suoi utenti? Perchè riesce a calamitare immediatamente l’attenzione degli iscritti ed anche di coloro che, invece, non dispongono ancora di un account? Il segreto, a quanto pare, starebbe nel fatto che il ben noto social network in blu di Zuck è in grado di sortire un effetto positivo sull’umore delle persone.

A far luce sulla questione è un recente studio compeltamente made in Italy condotto da Giuseppe Riva dell’Università Cattolica di Milano e pubblicato poi sul numero di dicembre della rivista Cyberpsychology, Behavior And Social Networking che spesso si occupa di quelli che sono i temi legati ai media e alle nuove tecnologie.

Nel dettaglio, prendendo in esame 30 soggetti ed esponendoli poi all’azione del social network per circa 3 minuti, i ricercatori hanno provveduto a misurare la dilatazione del sangue nel polso, i valori dell’elettroencefalogramma, l’attività respiratoria e, in linea ben più generale, i principali valori del corpo.

Dall’analisi di tali dati ne sono emersi aspetti estremamente positivi correlati al trascorrere parte del proprio tempo servendosi di Facebook.

Nei soggetti presi in esame, infatti, l’utilizzo di Facebook ha portato ad una dilatazione delle pupille in stato di rilassamento e ad un’esperienza tanto piacevole quanto soddisfacente.

Tali segnali hanno quindi permesso di giungere alla conclusione che l’utilizzo di Facebook è in grado di richiamare uno stato psicofisiologico  in cui risultano presenti una certa valenza positiva ed anche un elevato grado di felicità rapportandosi con l’innumerevole flusso di contenuti condivisi dagli utenti che vengono visualizzati accedendo al social network, il tutto unitamente da un aumento dei processi parasimpatici del sistema nervoso.

Quindi, la maggior parte degli utenti, solitamente, si connette a Facebook per incrementare la propria dose di buon umore grazie alla sensazione di avere tanti amici e all’idea di essere on-line e, di conseguenza di poter sempre, o quasi, scambiare due chiacchiere con amici, conoscenti, parenti, colleghi etc.
