Facebook: arrivano le cerchie stile Google+?

Qualche maligno potrebbe dire che dopotutto era solo questione di tempo, ma sembrava chiaro che in qualche modo Facebook avrebbe provato a riprodurre una delle funzioni principali di Google+, il nuovo ed agguerrito avversario per il trono dei social network, che riguarda in particolare la possibilità di creare cerchie personalizzate con i propri amici.

Facebook ha infatti dato il via alla fase di test di un nuovo sistema al momento chiamato “Smart List“, il quale, sulla falsariga delle cerchie del servizio di Mountain View, permetterà di suddividere gli amici in base a criteri differenti (colleghi di lavoro, compagni di scuola, familiari e così via) e con loro condividere determinati contenuti. L’obiettivo di Palo Alto non è ovviamente solo quello di prendere ispirazione da Google+, ma migliorare le funzionalità delle cerchie, in quanto si proverà ad organizzare il tutto in maniera più automatica e semplice di quanto accade nel concorrente. 

Il sistema dovrebbe entrare a far parte del prossimo corposo aggiornamento previsto per Facebook, nonostante le continue smentite del portavoce della società, ma la notizia di un presunto inserimento di una cosa di questo tipo era già nell’aria da diverso tempo. Andiamo un po’ a scoprire comunque come dovrebbe funzionare.

Facebook raggrupperà subito automaticamente gli amici in tre categorie differenti: colleghi di lavoro, compagni di scuola e persone che vivono in un’area contenuta entro le 50 miglia (pari a circa 80 chilometri) dall’abitazione dell’utente. Naturalmente, il consumatore poi dovrebbe essere libero di creare la cerchia a lui più congegnale, e personalizzarla come preferisce.

La Smart List dunque sembra essere al contempo un potenziamento dei gruppi riservati ed un modo per portare le famose di Google+ anche su Facebook. La concorrenza quindi tra i due colossi continua a restituire colpi di scena destinati a portare vantaggio esclusivamente alle proprie community, che potranno godere di caratteristiche prima “invidiate” all’altra community.
