Non è stata presa con molta gioia la notizia diffusa dallo staff di Facebook che riguarda il metodo di accumulo crediti per il noto social network. La costante paura degli utilizzatori sempre più assidui (per cui lo strumento sociale è diventato quasi una necessità per la propria vita di relazione, un po’ come le liste dei server emule per chi ama scaricare dalle reti P2P, se ci passate il paragone), è quella della trasformazione – seppur lenta – di una sorta di network a pagamento che permettere l’utilizzo di servizi gratuiti minimi, ma probabilmente non sufficienti per chi è stato abituato ad utilizzarli “prepotentemente” fino ad oggi.
E’ il caso del giorno, quello della promozione di Facebook: “Con un dollaro solo acquista ben 10 crediti”. Ed a cosa serviranno questi crediti? Molti dei frequentatori del sito, che magari non hanno ancora confidenza con gran parte dei siti e delle applicazioni Web 2.0 non sono a conoscenza dei sistemi di crediti utilizzati su Internet. Facciamo un po’ di chiarezza. I crediti, sono delle monete virtuali create ad hoc per un sito e che servono per acquistare determinati “servizi” e farne merce di scambio on line con gli utenti. Facebook, come aveva già promesso in precedenza, si è lanciata in questa nuova gestione dei pagamenti on line creando un proprio sistema interno che sarà diffuso e conosciuto come “Facebook Credits“. Gli utenti del noto social network, possono acquistare in dollari (come abbiamo già detto 10 crediti sono 1 dollaro) ed utilizzarli per l’acquisto di giochi, applicazioni e regali per i propri amici. Tutto grazie alla nuova funzione integrata “Pay with Facebook“. Questi crediti, c’è da dire, che non sono una vera novità, anche perchè già da un po’ di tempo si vedevano circolare tra le pagine di Facebook, solo che ad oggi con un aumento costante della loro richiesta, i ragazzi del sito, hanno deciso di deviare un buon flusso di denaro nelle loro casse permettendo di aumentare le entrate.
I metodi di pagamento on line per i crediti sono: con le carte di credito standard o prepagate dei circuiti internazionali Visa, MasterCard oppure l’American Express.
