WhatsApp lancia una nuova funzionalità per informare gli utenti sugli aggiornamenti in-app

Sta per arrivare un importante aggiornamento per una delle app più apprezzate dal pubblico italiano, almeno per quanto riguarda specifici ambiti di utilizzo. L’applicazione di messaggistica istantanea WhatsApp ha implementato una nuova comoda funzionalità che consentirà a WhatsApp di fare annunci in-app sui nuovi aggiornamenti. Come riportato da un popolare sito web WABetaInfo, la funzionalità si chiama notifiche in-app e verrà utilizzata per fare nuovi annunci su WhatsApp.

In cosa consiste l’aggiornamento di WhatsApp ormai in arrivo

Attualmente, WhatsApp fa tutti i nuovi annunci tramite il suo blog, tuttavia, presto gli utenti saranno in grado di ottenerli direttamente sull’app. Questi aggiornamenti in-app potrebbero indirizzare gli utenti a un sito Web specifico o persino richiedere loro di intraprendere un’azione particolare. Questa funzione non verrà utilizzata da WhatsApp per scopi pubblicitari.

Questi annunci non verranno consegnati agli utenti tramite chat, ma appariranno come banner in-app. Il primo nuovo annuncio fatto da WhatsApp utilizzando questa funzione sono i nuovi Termini di servizio che affermano che WhatsApp sta rilasciando i nuovi termini e fa anche luce sull’obiettivo principale dell’aggiornamento.

Un precedente rapporto affermava che WhatsApp aggiornerà i suoi Termini di servizio nel 2021 e gli utenti di WhatsApp dovranno accettarlo o dovranno eliminare il proprio account. L’obiettivo principale di questo aggiornamento riguarda il modo in cui WhatsApp elabora i dati degli utenti e il modo in cui le aziende possono utilizzare i servizi ospitati di Facebook per archiviare e gestire le proprie chat di WhatsApp. L’aggiornamento entrerà in vigore l’8 febbraio 2021.

Se gli utenti non sono d’accordo con le modifiche o i termini di servizio aggiornati, perderanno l’accesso al proprio account. Per eliminare un account WhatsApp, gli utenti dovranno andare su impostazioni> account> elimina il mio account.

Insomma, un periodo molto caldo quello che stiamo vivendo attualmente a proposito dello sviluppo di WhatsApp, al punto che gli sviluppatori si apprestano a rendere disponibili diversi aggiornamenti che andranno a condizionare il servizio in diversi ambiti di utilizzo, come avete avuto modo di percepire oggi. Per il resto, non possiamo fare altro che attendere l’ufficialità di questi interventi, al di là del fatto che si disponga di un prodotto Android o iPhone.
