Su YoVille nasce lo sciopero virtuale

YoVille uno dei più grandi mondi virtuali presenti su Facebook, ha recentemente sperimentato la prima protesta virtuale nei confronti di un importante modifica del gioco che ha cambiato il modo in cui gli utenti possono guadagnare i coins, cioè la moneta virtuale di YoVille. Se prima era sufficiente entrare nella Factory di YoVille per guadagnare coin, adesso le cose si sono fatte più complicate. La vecchia Widget Factory è diventata una fabbrica di dolci (Sweet Factory) dove gli utenti possono guadagnare vendendo le torte, ma allo stesso tempo perdono un po’ di coins ogni volta che le preparano, a seconda degli ingredienti utilizzati. In questo modo, il guadagno è minimo, ma c’è di più: bisogna togliere le torte dal forno a intervalli regolari, prima che si brucino, altrimenti non si potrà più venderle.

La protesta degli utenti si basa anche su questo: può un mondo virtuale condizionare il nostro mondo reale imponendo obblighi ed orari? Gli utenti di YoVille hanno detto di no con una petizione e con il primo sciopero virtuale di YoVille.

Il 17 settembre 2009, centinaia di avatar si sono dati appuntamento nella Sweet Factory vestiti con un barile di legno per protestare contro il basso salario virtuale imposto loro dal gioco.

  16. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

  30. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
