Siamo nell’era del marketing. È risaputo. Oggi vogliamo parlarvi di quanto messo in atto da un’agenzia belga che ha lanciato una nuova campagna di marketing virale su Foursquare, il noto social network basato sul sistema della geolocalizzazione che permette di far sapere a tutti i propri amici dove ci si trova e quali sono i posti che visita abitualmente. L’agenzia si chiama Euro RSCG Brussels e si è posta come scopo quello di far aumentare la conoscenza del proprio brand cercando di assumere il personale più in gamba delle agenzie rivali. Cosa hanno fatto nello specifico?

 

I “furbetti” della comunicazione hanno effettuato check-in giornalieri in 43 uffici di società rivali in modo da poter diventare quanto prima sindaci di quel luogo. In questo modo, ottenuta la carica, i marketer hanno avuto la possibilità di commentare e dare consigli sulle diverse pagine, linkando però al sistema di reclutamento della propria agenzia. In questo modo, tutti gli interessati e coloro i quali lavoravano per le agenzie rivali hanno avuto modo di candidarsi e di conoscere la realtà di Euro RSCG.

 

 

Questo è un tentativo molto innovativo che punta sulle strategie di marketing virale per aumentare la propria brand awareness e allargare il proprio personale ai più talentuosi. Potrete capire tutto ciò che è accaduto dando uno sguardo al video pubblicato su Youtube dalla stessa agenzia a questo indirizzo, che spiega come hanno cercato nuovi talenti. Il confine fra la scorrettezza e l’innovazione di questa campagna è molto labile. Infatti, in tanti hanno criticato l’iniziativa dell’agenzia e tanti altri, invece, l’hanno considerata una vera e propria genialità. C’è anche da considerare, però, che Foursquare è ancora poco utilizzato in Belgio e che quindi l’impatto non è stato molto forte, come potrebbe risultare in altri Paesi. Non è da escludere, quindi, che questa tattica possa essere adottata come best practise nel mondo dell’advertising italiano.
