Facebook, maggiore privacy in arrivo

L’eco di Google+ si fa sentire più forte che mai, ed ecco dunque che Facebook decide di migliorare in maniera massiccia tutte le impostazioni privacy relative al suo omonimo social network, dando così agli utenti la possibilità di poter proteggere al meglio il proprio profilo da “visitatori indesiderati”.

Entro breve tempo, non si hanno ancora informazioni precise sul quando, Facebook introdurrà un nuovo sistema che non ingloberà tutte le opzioni di configurazione all’interno di un sola pagina, bensì faranno il loro debutto alcuni menù contestuali extra attraverso i quali gestire i contenuti che si desiderano restino privati ad una determinata cerchia di persone.

Infatti, con il “nuovo” Facebook si potrà scegliere quali contenuti dovranno essere visualizzabili a tutti e quali invece dovranno restare privati attraverso un inedito menù a cascata che farà la sua apparizione tra le opzioni di modifica personali del profilo. Sarà predisposta inoltre un’altra pagina attraverso le quale scegliere se accettare o meno determinati tag, così da poter selezionare con cura in quali post o immagini si preferisce essere “taggati” o meno.

Si potrà persino emulare una visita al proprio profilo da parte di un’altra persona, così da capire quali informazioni siano state effettivamente messe in privato e quali invece sono ancora alla mercé di chiunque.

Inoltre, qualsiasi nuovo inserimento, che sia un post, un video o una galleria di immagini, potrà essere impostato di volta in volta tramite un apposito box con il quale scegliere se quella determinata novità debba essere visibile a tutti o solo ad un numero di persone scelte direttamente dall’utente. Una volta pubblicato il contenuto, la sua visibilità potrà comunque essere ancora modificata.

Misure pesanti che certamente daranno l’opportunità ai tanti utenti Facebook di gestire al meglio e con maggior attenzione dettagli e privacy del proprio profilo. Le innovazioni in questo senso portate da Google non sono dunque passate inosservate, e, a vantaggio dei consumatori, si è praticamente aperta una guerra su quale social network si rivelerà infine il più sicuro per la privacy personale.
