Facebook, il News Feed si adegua alla connessione

Facebook sta puntando a mostrare nel News Feed dei suoi utenti tutte le notizie e le storie che questi potrebbero desiderare di visualizzare anche nel caso in cui fossero in possesso di una connessione ad Internet lenta o addirittura assente.

Facebook ha infatti ben pensato di creare un nuovo sistema di classificazione in grado di includere sia le nuove storie che quelle presenti nella cache il che dovrebbe permettere agli iscritti al social network di accedere una migliore selezione di notizie anche in assenza di connessione o nel caso in cui venga utilizzato una linea poco veloce.

Il team di Facebook afferma infatti che questa nuova classificazione si avvale della potenza di calcolo dello smartphone. Si tratta di un sistema differente da quello adottato da Chrome che in caso di connessione poco performante carica prima il testo e solo successivamente le immagini.

Nello specifico, quando l’utente aprirà l’applicazione del social network ed inizierà a scorrere il News Feed innescherà una sorta di richiesta per ottenere la migliore storia disponibile. L’app a quel punto andrà a soppesare diversi elementi tra cui i dati nella cache, le foto ed i video disponibili e la velocità di internet. Una volta effettuate tutte queste valutazioni, l’app è poi in grado di offrire agli utenti le migliori notizie che rispecchiano questa speciale classifica.

Le modifiche in oggetto, è bene sottolinearlo, sono state effettuate soprattuto per migliorare il news Feed di Facebook per i mercato emergenti ove, come noto, è difficile disporre di connessioni ad Internet performanti come quelle presenti invece negli altri paesi.
