Facebook Messenger per iOS si aggiorna, arrivano i messaggi vocali e il supporto VoIP

Facebook Messenger 2.1

Nel corso delle ultime ore Facebook ha provveduto ad aggiornare la sua applicazione dedicata in maniera esclusiva alle conversazioni tra utenti mediante device iOS introducendo due nuove, interessanti e, sopratutto, importanti caratteristica che innalzano il celebre servizio di social networking ad un livello superiore.

L’app Facebook Messenger per iOS è stata aggiornata alla versione 2.1 e corezioni di vari bug a parte l’update porta con sé anche la nuova funzione mediante cui inviare messaggi vocali introducendo inoltre, seppur in via sperimentale, il supporto VoIP per poter telefonare gratuitamente mediante collegamento ad internet.

Nel dettaglio, Facebook Messenger 2.1, cos’ come le precedenti versioni dell’app, permette di chattare con gruppo di utenti ed amici specifici e, eventualmente di mostrare i dati di localiccazione dei partecipanti alla chat con la neo possibilità di poter inviare dei messaggi vocali, utili quando, così come pubblicizzato dallo stesso team del social network, le parole scritte non bastano.

Poi, così come già accennato, in via sperimentale e, per il momento, soltanto in alcuni paesi, è stata aggiunta la funzione VoIP per chiamare i propri amici iscritti al social network sfruttando il traffico dati del piano internet del proprio operatore telefonico e seguendo quindi il medesimo principio già messo in atto da ulteriori importanti servizi quali, ad esempio, Viber.

Per il momento la funzione VoIP non è ancora disponibile ed il team di Facebook non ha precistato quanto sarà possibile servirsene dichiarando, in maniera ben più generica, che verrà attivata nel corso dei prossimi giorni.

Allo stato attuale delle cose, comunque, tutti gli utenti iscritti a Facebook ed in possesso di un iPhone, di un iPod Touch e di un iPad con installato iOS 4.3 o versione successiva possono effettuare il download di Facebook Messenger 2.1 direttamente da App Store.

Chi è già in possesso della precedente versione dell’app può, molto più semplicemente, eseguirne l’aggiornamento sempre da App Store.
