Facebook: giornalista licenziata per causa del social network

E’ un’altro caso di licenziamento per colpa di Facebook. Anche questa volta i “datori di lavoro” hanno trovato  dissensi rispetto al loro modo di pensare ed operare. La vittima in questione si chiama Olga Lumia, professione giornalista, anni 39. E’ stata licenziata dalla testata giornalistica dove lavorava in quanto sul social network, aveva linkato un articolo della Repubblica che parlava del Ministro della Giustizia Angelino Alfano.

Dopo qualche settimana di collaborazione era riuscita a divenire addiriturrara vicedirettore di Agrigentoweb.it. Per una sciocchezza del genere ha perso tutto? Ecco come ne parla in un’intervista a la Repubblica:

Quelli di Agrigentoweb mi hanno proposto di collaborare e ho accettato. La mia collaborazione consisteva nell’inviare da qui un pezzo ogni dieci giorni. Non mi occupo di politica e ho scritto soltanto tre pezzi culturali in tutto. Dopo circa una setttimana dalla pubblicazione del mio primo pezzo, mi hanno nominato, a sorpresa, vicedirettore. La cosa, se da un lato mi ha gratificato, dall’altro mi ha infastidito molto. Ho aperto il sito e ho letto la notizia come tutti gli altri. Nessuno, infatti, mi aveva avvisato. Ma la cosa che mi ha spinto a dimettermi, è accaduta circa una settimana fa. Nella mia bacheca di FB, avevo condiviso un link su un vecchio pezzo de la Repubblica, che aveva come oggetto un politico.

Sono stata ampiamente rimproverata da quelli di Agweb per quello che avevo pubblicato. Ho cercato di spiegare che la bacheca di FB è come casa mia: ci posso fare quello che voglio. Ma loro niente, non sentivano ragioni. Alcune persone, dopo aver visto quel link, ne hanno parlato agli editori e direttori di Agrigentoweb. Gridando allo scandalo. Ho persino fatto una lettera di scuse credendo di averli messi a disagio. Pensavo che la cosa fosse finita lì. Non era vero. Con un pezzo in prima, firmato dal direttore, sono stata accusata di attaccare il premier e i suoi uomini e sono stata volgarmente definita “cavallino rampante che fa cri cri”. Non mi restava altro che fuggire da un simile ambiente dove non c’è libertà di opinione, pensiero e parola. Dove ti controllano anche per ciò che fai in privato.

Vi sembra giusto che cose del genere debbano succedere? Il posto di lavoro non dovrebbe essere una realtà a se stante dalla nostra vita quotidiana? E che diritto hanno i nostri datori di lavoro di spiarci? Si perchè è questa la vera e propria parola: Spiare. Ricordo un tempo, per lo meno, si inviavano persone che cercavano di diventare amici delle vittime e reperire informazioni, ma ora con Facebook le cose si facilitano. Basta leggere lo stato degli aggiornamenti, una critica fuori luogo, un modo di pensare diverso che si viene sbattuti fuori. Ma è normale questo? Altro che social network…

  1. Questo articolo da una visione deviata di cosa vuol dire far parte di una comunità come quella di un social network. Scrivere “giornalista licenziata per causa del social network” è agghiacciante. Sarebbe come dire che se si ha un incidente automobilistico, i passeggeri si sono fatti male a causa dell’auto! O_O
    Pubblicare un link di un articolo, non è una sciocchezza. Si chiama libertà d’espressione ed è talmente importante che è regolamentata nella Costituzione italiana.
    Purtroppo capisco che sono nuove tecnologie e che sia difficile all’inizio spiegarne i meccanismi, ma attenzione alle parole!

    Ufficialmente Olga Lumia si è licenziata. Sarebbe bene chiedere la versione ufficiale ad AgrigentoWeb.

  48. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
