Truffe su social network tramite i personaggi famosi

Oggi parliamo di pishing e di personaggi famosi, o meglio i fake dei personaggi famosi. Un fake è una persona che realizza una identità personale fasulla on line a scopo di estorcere denaro oppure carpirne i dati personali. Il più gettonato in questo senso, si sta muovendo per combattere questi fake. Parliamo di Snoop Dogg, uno tra i più celebri rapper degli Stati Uniti d’America, che seppur abbia avuto un passato da recluso in carcere, sembra essersi mobilitato in primis per il sociale.

La campagna che sta tentando di avviare ha uno stretto rapporto con i social network, infatti non si tratta di canzoni che hanno come tema violenza, droga o quanto altro, ma parliamo di attività di sensibilizazzione contro il cybercrimine.
Questo dopo che a bordo di uno dei Norton Security BLK MKT Truck, l’autista ha raccontato di essere stato vittima di pishing su posta elettronica attraverso degli hacker mascherati dallo stesso Snoop e conosciuto tramite amicizia su un social network. I suddetti hacker hanno avuto accesso ai suoi dati personali ed all’accesso ai testi delle nuove canzoni.
L’iniziativa Hack is Wack lanciata da Symantec, ha spiegato Dave Cole, nasce proprio per battere questi criminali che nell’era dei social network continuano ad aumentare. Sicuramente i più “pressanti” nel numero di presenze on line sono proprio Snoop Dogg, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt, Tiger Woods, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz e Madonna. Il fenomeno sta aumentando anche in Italia ed i più presenti on line sono Gigi D’Alessio e Maria De Filippi che vedono una serie di loro fake all’opera con migliaia di amicizie, ma che non sono legate in nessun modo agli artisti in prima persona. Quindi, quando si aggiunge un personaggio famoso agli amici è bene concedersi il beneficio del dubbio sulla sua identità e soprattutto controlliamo quanti altri profili esistono dello stesso artista.
