Le autorità dello stato di Washington hanno annunciato ufficialmente, proprio nel corso delle ultime ore, la disponibilità di una nuova ed interessantissima applicazione sviluppata ad hoc direttamente da Microsoft ed annessa all’interno della pagina Facebook dedicata alle elezioni locali grazie alla quale tutti gli iscritti al ben noto social network in blu appartenenti agli Stati Uniti potranno registrasi per il voto.

Trattasi di una novità molto importate poiché lo stato di Washington, di fatto, va a configurarsi come il primo a sfruttare Facebook per scopi elettorali e, sopratutto, non per fare della propaganda.

Quello in questione appare dunque come un ulteriore passo in avanti dopo aver investito, unitamente ad altri 12 stati, nell’ecosistema digitale come modalità di registrazione per poi recarsi di persona alle urne.

Nello specifico, il sistema disponibile su Facebook e sviluppato da Microsoft è denominato MyVote e l’applicazione, una volta in uso, avrà accesso alle informazioni personali dei vari elettori, al loro nome completo e, ovviamente anche alla loro data di nascita.

Saranno poi gli utenti che se ne serviranno che dovranno provvedere ad inserire dati extra come, ad esempio, il numero della patente di guida o quello della carta di identità, in modo tale da permettere il processo di identificazione.

Considerando il fatto che un numero sempre maggiore di persone si serve quotidianamente del web per l’esecuzione delle più svariate operazioni e per i servizi più disparati appare quindi naturale presentare gli utenti la registrazione online e poter affidare il voto al potere sempre più sconfinato di Facebook sulle masse.

A tal proposito, stando a quelle che sono le ultime statistiche disponibili circa il 32% di tutte le registrazioni di voto è stato effettuato direttamente online e se si tiene in considerazione il numero di elettori aventi un’età inferiore ai 34 anni tale percentuale è destinata addirittura a raddoppiarsi.
