Facebook, si chiude al ribasso

Si chiude oggi una delle settimane più bollenti nella storia di Facebook. Solo sette giorni fa avveniva il debutto in borsa a Wall Street nei listini Nasdaq. Quella che sembrava essere un successo annunciato, è invece diventato ogni giorno di più una storia dai lineamenti tragici.

Prima il crollo netto rispetto al valore iniziale di 38 dollari per azioni, che inizialmente era salito fino a 45 per contrattazione, poi la class action, le proteste, le indagini e insomma tutta una serie di cose che hanno reso questa seconda vita per il social network più famoso e utilizzato del pianeta particolarmente complicata. Oggi si chiude la prima settimana, ed è ancora un ribasso.

Nella giornata odierna le azioni di Facebook hanno perso infatti altri quattro punti percentuali, rendendo vani i recuperi delle ore precedenti sul valore di ogni singolo titolo che adesso sfiora il minimo storico di 31 dollari, con tutta le delusione del caso da parte di chi, avendo acquistato subito le azioni a un prezzo elevato, si trova adesso in forte perdita.

E tutto questo avviene in una situazione di caos: Mark Zuckerberg, che nel frattempo ha convolato a nozze con la sua Priscilla Chan, non ha ancora rilasciato commenti ufficiali, mentre Morgan Stanley, la principale banca che ha curato il collocamento in borsa dell’azienda, annuncia una regolazione dei prezzi per le azioni.

L’intento sarebbe infatti quello di fissare un prezzo massimo di 43 dollari, ragion per la quale sono stati già promessi dei rimborsi ai broker che hanno acquistato azioni a 45 dollari nel momento di esaltazione che si era registrato subito dopo l’avvio dell’attività di Facebook a Wall Street. In futuro invece non si potrà superare quella soglia massima, in attesa di capire come si evolverà la situazione nelle prossime settimane.

Infine, si viene a sapere che i quattro principali trader, Knight Capital, Citadel Secrities, Ubs e Automated Trading Desk di Citi, hanno registrato perdite che in certi casi superano i 100 milioni di dollari.
