YouTube: nuovo layout e più attenzione sui canali

Pare che YouTube stia per cambiare di nuovo di nuovo layout. Infatti nella tarda serata di ieri alcuni utenti degli Stati Uniti hanno notato delle notevoli differenze nella homepage, che forse sono l’inizio della transizione dal vecchio al nuovo layout. Se le cose stanno così, prepariamoci a un lavoro di massiccio redesign da parte dello staff del network.

Il sito SocialTimes.com ha diffuso proprio ieri alcuni screenshots del nuovo layout che trovate anche qui subito dopo il “salto”.

Il cambiamento più rilevante riguarda le barre verticali, in particolar modo quella di sinistra, che ora mette in primo piano i canali consigliati all’utente. Sembra che YouTube stia spingendo molto sui Recommended Channels più che sui Recommended Videos, per invogliare maggiormente gli utenti ad iscriversi ai suddetti canali.

A rafforzare questa impressione è la posizione del pulsante “subscribe” (iscriviti) posizionato adesso proprio sotto il nome utente, prima ancora del “like” al video.

Ma la cosa che forse ci incuriosisce di più è la presenza del pulsante “download” sotto i video. Purtroppo nemmeno SocialTimes.com sa spiegare la sua presenza. Che YouTube abbia in mente di offrire la possibilità di fare il download dei video presenti sul social network? Oppure si tratta semplicemente di una delle tante estensioni per scaricare video in flash disponibili per Firefox e Chrome? Per scoprirlo dovremo pazientare ancora un po’.
