Questo è ciò che si dice negli ultimi giorni: se durante le elezioni iraniane è stato un mezzo di riferimento per poter avere aggiornamenti in tempo reale sulle notizie riuscendo a superare censure ed ogni tipo di barriera, ad oggi è stato definito un solo mezzo di inutilità e chiacchiere per oltre il 40% dei suoi utilizzi.

A parlare, lo studio americano di una società: la Pear Analytics. La società di ricerca ha dichiarato apertamente che nel 40% dell’utilizzo di Twitter da parte degli utenti, si fanno solamente “chiacchiere inutili”, il twittare non è quindi come un cinguettio dell’uccellino, ma come il canto assordante e non sempre piacevole di una cicala.
Ad essere imputate come inutili, frasi che parlano dello stato d’animo delle persone tipo “sto andando avanti ed indietro in camera mia”, oppure “vado a mangiare la pasta”.
Inoltre, con il diffondersi sempre maggiore di Twitter, i suoi contenuti illustri tanto osannati durante il periodo delle elezioni iraniane, sembrano non esistere più.
La Pear Analytics è partita da una osservazione durata dieci giorni lavorativi (da lunedì a venerdì), in orario continuato dalle 10 del mattino alle 17 del pomeriggio. Quello che è venuto fuori secondo i ricercatori è un mix esplosivo tra smap, promozioni, conversazioni inutili e solamente pochissime news importanti.

Le conclusioni sono state che il social network Twitter, nel 40,55% dei casi viene utilizzato solo per dare informazioni poco utili (chiamate pointless bubble), mentre la pubblicità e l’autopromozione raccoglie oltre il 10% del totale dei contenuti.
Ryan Kelly, fondatore dell’azienda di ricerca ha dichiarato che: “Il risultato ottenuto è interessante, ma non come ci aspettavamo quando abbiamo deciso di svolgere la ricerca. Siamo partiti con l’idea che Twitter fosse utilizzato soprattutto per spam e autopromozione e ci ha stupito che l’aspetto informativo arrivasse solo all’ultimo posto. Sarà interessante vedere se Twitter assumerà un ruolo più importante nelle news o continuerà a essere un mezzo per condividere attività che hanno ben poco a che fare con gli altri utenti“.

  7. obviously like your web-site however you need to check the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling problems and I find it very bothersome to tell the truth then again I will certainly come back again.

  10. Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
