Spotify VS Grooveshark: qual è il miglior servizio di musica streaming?

Con il diffondersi dei servizi cloud, c’è stato anche un moltiplicarsi delle piattaforme che offrono musica gratis in streaming. Le più note oggi sono Grooveshark e Spotify, sorta di jukebox virtuali e insiemedi community che riscuotono molto successo soprattutto tra i giovanissimi.

Nella prima settimana dal suo ingresso in Italia, il servizio di Spotify ha già totalizzato 11 milioni di brarni ascoltati. Sull’altro piatto della bilancia invece c’è Grooveshark che, grazie alla beta mobile, sta conquistando rapidamente il mondo Android.

Ma qual è oggi il miglior servizio di musica streaming sul mercato?

Diciamo subito che Spotify e Grooveshark sono due servizi all’apparenza simili ma in realtà molto diversi tra loro. Perciò la scelta dipende quasi esclusivamente dalle esigenze dell’utente.

Entrambe le piattaforme sono gratuite e hanno a disposizione un gran numero di brani, ma Spotify funziona solo tramite download del software apposito, disponibile solo per windows e mac (la versione linux è ancora ferma alla beta, con risultati altalenanti) , Grooveshark invece è web based, e grazie al supporto HTML5 lo streaming funziona indipendentemente dal sistema utilizzato, e anche su Tablet e iPad.

Sia Spotify che Grooveshark sono attrezzate per condividere brani e playlist sui maggiori social networks, per commentare insieme questo o quel brano. Grooveshark permette inoltre di creare online intere playlist da inserire nel proprio sito o blog.

Ma la differenza maggiore consiste nel fatto che Spotify è un servizio legale al 100% mentre su Grooveshark si sono addensate parecchie nubi. La musica presente su Grooveshark non è stata messa a disposizione dalle major discografiche ma dagli stessi iscritti che l’hanno caricata, un brano dopo l’altro. Insomma Grooveshark è una specie di Megaupload a carattere musicale, e questo ha causato il blocco del servizio in Germania con la scusa di problemi nel mantenimento dei server. Ma sono stati in moti a dire che dietro questa censura ci fosse la GEMA, l’associazione tedesca per i diritti d’autore che, sempre in Germania, è stata responsabile del blocco della maggior parte dei video musicali presenti su YouTube.

Ma questa polemica non ci riguarda, almeno per il momento. Conta solo il fatto che la musica oggi è sempre più social.
