Cos’è Polyvore? Alla scoperta del social fashion

Polyvore è un sito, anzi una community, per scoprire e creare le nuove tendenze moda. A prima vista può essere facilmente scambiato per l’ennesimo clone di Pinterest, ma in realtà Polyvore è stato il primo sito di social fashion ad avere successo su larga scala. Merito dei brand partners, ma soprattutto il merito va alla gente comune, e delle tantissime ragazze che con Polyvore sono riuscite ad esprimere il loro talento di trendsetter e fashion blogger.

Polyvore funziona in maniera simile a Pinterest: gli utenti hanno a disposizione una bacheca dove creare degli outfit virtuali, set di abiti, scarpe ed accessori da abbinare grazie a un semplice meccanismo di copia e incolla, scegliendo i capi da diversi siti web e negozi online. Per creare un outfit, Polyvore mette a disposizione un Mini Editor per la realizzazione di veri e propri collage digitali. Invece per segnalare una proposta moda c’è Clipper, un semplice bookmarklet.

Se vediamo un articolo che ci piace sulle bacheche dei contatti, o magari un intero set, completo di scarpe ed accessori, è possibile acquistare l’intero outfit così come viene presentato direttamente online sul sito di Polyvore. Oppure se siamo indecise su cosa comprare, possiamo chiedere suggerimenti alle amiche cliccando su ASK.

Polyvore è usato anche dalle grandi firme della moda per promuovere le loro collezioni, tanto che i brand organizzano spesso dei contest per creare dei set utilizzando solo gli articoli presenti nel loro shop online. Una buona occasione per scoprire il fashion designer che è in te.
