Meglio condividere brani che seguire i propri idoli su Twitter

A quanto pare, gli appassionati di musica sono più propensi a condividere brani su Twitter che a seguire i loro idoli sul microblog. Nonostante i milioni di seguaci che cantanti come Lady Gaga e Justin Bieber hanno accumulato su questo social network, i dati raccolti dal sito internet Music WithMe suggeriscono che l’85% di utenti che condividono musica su Twitter non followano i loro artisti preferiti.

Se questi dati sono esatti, allora il concetto di popolarità su Twitter andrebbe rivisto, almeno per quanto riguarda i musicisti.

Il sito di Music WithMe, che permette di sincronizzare la libreria iTunes con gli Smartphone Android, ha preso in esame un campione di utenti che condividevano musica su Twitter tramite i servizi web di Pandora, Soundtracking, Slacker, e tanti altri. L’analisi dei dati ha però rivelato che, in media, solo il 15 per cento degli utenti che condividevano ripetutamente la musica di un artista su Twitter, poi si iscrivevano ai suoi tweets. Al contrario i milioni di followers di Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, o altre popstar che potremmo prendere ad esempio, non si preoccuperebbero affatto di diffondere la musica dei loro artisti preferiti sui social network.

Perciò cosa determina l’influenza di una celebrità su Twitter? Il numero dei followers accumulati, oppure l’interesse reale e concreto di chi condivide ogni giorno un suo brano in rete? La questione resta aperta, e getta un’ombra sulla reale capacità dei personaggi famosi di farsi pubblicità online.

  5. Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
