Circa una settimana fa, Facebook è stato soggetto a disservizi che hanno provocato la cancellazione temporanea di molti account, anche di utenti italiani. Ad ogni tentativo di loggarsi a Facebook corrispondeva un messaggio che avvertiva l’utente che “al momento il profilo non era raggiungibile“, oppure che l’account non esisteva più.

Niente panico però. In realtà il fenomeno di “Account Unavailable” è molto comune durante la manutenzione periodica dei server di Facebook, anche se stavolta sembra essere durato davvero troppo a lungo. Ci sono utenti non sono riusciti a visualizzare il loro profilo anche per tutta la settimana, lamentandosi di non poter leggere i messaggi o giocare a Farmville.

A tale proposito il sito web CNET ha sottolineato che solo lo 0,5 per cento degli utenti Facebook è stato vittima di questo disservizio, eppure le proteste si sono levate ancora un volta chiare e forti. Un segnale di come Facebook sia considerato oggi come uno strumento indispensabile di comunicazione. Almeno fino a quando non arriverà Google Wave.
