Google Inactive Account Manager

Avete mai pensato a cosa ne sarà del vostro account Google dopo la morte? No, se siete persone normali non ci avete pensato neanche per un secondo ma state tranquilli perchè Google l’ha fatto al posto vostro e per questo l’azienda di Mountain View ha presentato Inactive Account Manager, strumento per preservare (o eliminare) il nostro profilo dopo un periodo di inattività più o meno lungo.

Il funzionamento di Inactive Account Manager è decisamente semplice, tutto quello che dovremo fare è dire a Google cosa fare dei nostri dati una volta che saremo espirati o che decideremo di abbandonare l’account. Possiamo inserire un indirizzo email alternativo e un numero di telefono da contattare oppure decidere di cancellare definitivamente il profilo.

Lo strumento chiede di indicare un periodo di inattività (3, 6, 9 o 12 mesi) dopo il quale entrerà in funzione Inactive Manager, inviando i vostri dati personali ai contatti specificati in precedenza o cancellando definitivamente l’account.

Potrà sembrarvi una cosa macabra eppure anche Facebook ha una funzionalitù simile per bloccare l’account di una persona deceduta e trasformarlo in una sorta di “cimitero virtuale”.
