Google, Facebook e gli indirizzi brevi

Il mondo odierno è sempre più rapido e necessita quindi di velocizzare e sintetizzare tutte le operazioni quotidiane, per evitare di rimanere indietro rispetto agli altri. Sembra ormai una sfida contro il tempo. Mini incontri, mini pranzi, mini vacanze e ad oggi anche mini URL.

 
Ebbene si, due grandi colossi web hanno avviato il servizio di abbreviazione dei propri URL, che si trasformano così in siti internet sillabati. I due indirizzi che sono stati creati sono Goo.gl per il colosso del search engine Google e Fb.me per il big del social networking Facebook. Sicuramente non è una innovazione nel campo degli indirizzi internet, anche perchè sono noti da molto tempo i cosiddetti Tiny URL e soprattutto il servizio di Bit.ly.

 
Ad oggi però, questa notizia porta un po’ di movimento all’interno dei team di sviluppo dei servizi web, che vedono due grandi colossi annunciare un cambio di metodo nel raggiungimento del sito contemporaneamente e soprattutto in così poco tempo. C’è da dire, comunque che sia l’URL Goo.gl che l’URL Fb.me, non sono ancora attualmente utilizzabili, se non per servizi minimali. Ad esempio da Google si può accedere esclusivamente alle applicazioni come la Google Toolbar ed il Feed Burner, mentre con Facebook, grazie all’URL breve si potrà raggiungere solo l’home page di Facebook.

 

Quindi, l’utilizzo attuale per smistare i propri indirizzi web basandosi sull’URL breve dei due colossi non è ancora utilizzabile.
Facebook, ha aggiunto un’altro utilizzo però al suo URL breve. Infatti, digitandolo da uno smartphone, il sistema riconosce automaticamente la piattaforma grazie ad una riga di codice e ci porterà in maniera autonoma sulla home page mobile del social network.

 

 

Che il mondo di Internet stia cambiando? Che i Big stiano cercando di accaparrarsi questa nuova forma di domini prima che qualche furbo concorrente riesca a “copiarlo”? Staremo a vedere cosa accadrà quando questi URL andranno in funzione.
