martelloIniziano seri problemi per Facebook, 5 cittadini americani del California hanno difatti esposto denuncia contro il Social Network per uso illegittimo di dati personali, per violazione della privacy e per il non rispetto delle leggi statali californiane che pongono molta enfasi sulla riservatezza personale del singolo.

Il processo si terrà con la presenza di un giudice che deciderà se Facebook è conforme alle normative del paese e se realmente dovrà risarcire i 5 suddetti. Certo è un fatto: se i cinque dovrebbero vincere la causa ed essere risarciti, molti altri “interessati” potrebbero sporgere denuncia per incassare qualche soldo e si avrebbe una reazione a catena. Ma tutti sapiamo che il social network più utilizzato di sempre saprà contrattare bene con le autorità governative e cambierà nuovamente la sua politica sui dati utenti come sempre.

E’ sempre il solito problema. Sempre le solite domande: che fine fanno i nostri dati? Sono rivenduti a terzi per conoscere i trends di acquisti di prodotti e servizi? Non vengono mai cancellati? Insomma, perchè l’utente che si registra non ha il diritto di sapere nello specifico come vengono amministrate le sue informazioni personali?

E’ una battaglia che sta divenendo sempre più aspra, tanto che lo stesso Governo canadese ha deciso di mettere il sito sotto “inquisizione” e rendersi conto quali siano le falle del sistema e come avviene la gestione di dati. Se infatti il modello non sarà conforme alle leggi del paese, non potrà più essere presente sulla rete statale. Ma anche qui, Facebook sta cercando di giungere ad una mediazione.

Nella denuncia di ben quaranta pagine esposta dai 5 californiani, tra cui due tredicenni, c’è anche un punto molto interessante riguardante i minori. Può Facebook diffondere foto di minori senza il diretto consenso dei genitori? Secondo la legge di riservatezza del cittadino in California sembra che questo non sia permesso. E in Italia? Il nostro Governo si è mai preoccupato di verificare la legittimità del social network. Vi terremo informati sugli sviluppi di questa vicenda.
