Facebook: controversia dei gruppi che negano l’olocausto

Oggi Facebook ha cancellato due gruppi che negavano l’esistenza dell’olocausto. Non lo ha fatto tanto per la negazione del fatto storico, ma quanto per le parole offensive che il gruppo iniziava a scrivere nei propri commenti. E’ questa la politica dei termini d’uso della società: bannare e/o cancellare qualcuno che offende un singolo o un’insieme, ma non fare nulla nei confronti dei gruppi che esplicitamente affermano che l’olocausto, avvenuto durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, non esista, o meglio non abbia l’impatto sociale che noi tutti siamo abituati ad attribuire, quello di un vero e proprio genocidio.

In protesta a questa mancata sensibilità e difesa degli ebrei, Attorney Brian Cuban, avvocato e portavoce di tutti gli offesi, ha scritto una lettera direttamente al CEo di Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg. Eccovene una parte:

La negazione dell’olocausto non è altro che un pretesto per consentire la predicazione di odio contro gli ebrei e per l’incoraggiamento di altri individui aventi pari mentalità a fare lo stesso. Consentire a questi gruppi di prosperare su Facebook, con il pretesto di “discussione aperta” non fa altro che contribuire a diffondere il loro messaggio di odio. E ‘questo il tipo di discussione aperta che vuole incoraggiare Facebook? E ‘davvero questo il modo in cui volete presentarvi?

In risposta a questa lettera, ha già in parte parlatoBarry Schnitt, portavoce Facebook, dichiarando su PCMag che tutti questi gruppi sono costantemente tenuti sott’occhio, e verranno fermati solamente se essi inciteranno qualcuno a scrivere commenti d’odio e d’offesa verso terzi. Saranno applicate le stesse identiche misure prese qualche mese fa, nei confronti di casi simili.

In poche parole, finchè qualcuno non dice esplicitamente qualcosa contro qualcuno è tutto ok. Ma come si può pensare una cosa del genere? Può qualcuno far parte di un gruppo e non scrivere qualcosa? E in questo caso non offensivo?

My website has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any techniques to help protect against content from being ripped off? I’d certainly appreciate it.

  36. First off I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind before writing. I have had a tough time clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out. I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Appreciate it!
