Facebook scammers

Il blog di AVG avvisa gli utenti Facebook di un nuovo attacco hacker da parte di alcuni scammers (dall’inglese scam=frode), il cui luogo d’origine non è stato, al momento, ancora identificato. La truffa è identica a quella già perpetrata ai danni di MySpace qualche anno fa: l’utente, in genere maschio, riceve una richiesta di amicizia da una bella ragazza. Sul profilo, di solito nella sezione Info, c’è l’indirizzo del suo sito web. Una buona parte degli utenti, spinti dalla curiosità, ci clicca sopra, e qua c’è la sorpresa: invece delle foto della ragazza, ci troviamo davanti un virus.

La truffa funziona così: una volta entrati nel sito appare un pop up con un falso avviso (simile a quello del firewall di XP/Vista) che ci avverte che nel nostro PC sono stati rilevati alcuni virus. Il falso antivirus ci chiede perciò di procedere alla scansione. Non fatelo, perchè cliccando su OK verrà scaricato il vero virus, che infetterà il computer.

Come possiamo difenderci da questo nuovo attacco? Innanzitutto vi invitiamo a cliccare sulle foto che trovate subito dopo il salto. La ragazza in foto ha nomi diversi, ma la faccia è sempre la stessa. Ed è l’ei l’esca utilizzata per questa nuova truffa. Perciò se ricevete una richiesta d’amicizia da questa bella biondina non accettate, anzi bloccatela subito.
