The Walking Dead

Gli zombie sbarcano sul social network più famoso del mondo. Da pochi giorni è stata inaugurata la pagina ufficiale di The Walking Dead, la serie evento di questo freddo autunno 2010, che debutterà in America il 31 ottobre, proprio la notte di Halloween.

In Italia la prima puntata di The Walking Dead sarà trasmessa lunedì 1 novembre, su Fox. La miniserie conta al momento solo sei episodi, si parla però di una seconda stagione già in fase di lavorazione, ma questa notizia non è ancora stata confermata.

The Walking Dead è una serie scritta da Frank Darabont (in passato ha diretto, tra gli altri, anche il film Il Miglio Verde) e basata sul fumetto omonimo del 2003 creato da Robert Kirkman. La trama è molto interessante e verte su un gruppo di sopravvissuti ad una esplosione nucleare, i nostri eroi si ritroveranno in un mondo post apocalittico dominato dagli zombie, dovranno scoprire la causa di questa invasione e soprattutto dovranno riuscire a rimanere sani e salvi.

L’ideatore della serie ha fatto sapere che nel telefilm saranno introdotti anche nuovi personaggi mai visti prima nel fumetto, ed anche la trama godrà di piccole aggiunte e particolari inediti, una scelta fatta per rendere più fruibile la narrazione televisiva, la sceneggiatura di una serie TV richiede ovviamente una lavorazione differente rispetto alla scrittura di una storia a fumetti.

La pagina di The Walking Dead su Facebook al momento conta poco più di 50.000 iscritti, ma siamo certi che, dopo la messa in onda del primo episodio, i fan aumenteranno notevolmente. Negli USA The Walking Dead è un fumetto piuttosto apprezzato dal pubblico, mentre non sembra aver riscosso lo stesso successo nel resto del mondo.

I fan attendono con ansia la serie televisiva, che ha avuto tra l’altro una lavorazione piuttosto travagliata. Il network AMC ha ordinato solamente sei episodi per la prima stagione, non credendo molto nelle qualità del progetto, l’interesse del pubblico è però molto alto e sicuramente una seconda serie, più lunga, vedrà presto la luce.
