Se Facebook ha portato qualche innovazione nel modo di presentare il proprio “Io” sul web, sicuramente ritroviamo l’importanza del’immagine del profilo. Quella che un tempo si chiamava Avatar, oggi diventa l’immagine profilo di Facebook, espressione del se e tratto distintivo per farsi riconoscere. Ma negli ultimi periodi si sta sviluppando la volontà, attraverso questa immagine di manifestare qualcosa, protestare e soprattutto tentare di uniformarsi in qualche modo al mondo.

E’ il caso dei cartoni animati messi come sostegno dell’infanzia, oppure delle eroine dei serial e dei cartoon per sostenere i diritti delle donne. L’ultima che viene proposta sul social network è quella di sostituire la proprio foto, con quella di un animale contro i maltrattamenti sui nostri piccoli amici.
