La Cina non vede di buon occhio i social network, si tratta di strumenti liberi dove le persone possono esprimere le proprie opinioni, ma il governo cinese non approva, tanto che siti come Facebook e Twitter (per non parlare di Google), sono filtrati e controllati.

Proprio dalla Cina arriverà presto un social network alternativo a Twitter, ad uso e consumo degli utenti locali, chiamato Red Microblog, sito di microblogging che non sarà libero, ma anzi, sarà controllato e sottoposto a rigida censura.

Al momento di Red Microblog non sappiamo nulla, non è ancora chiaro quando il servizio sarà lanciato ufficialmente, anche l’indirizzo viene tenuto segreto, per il momento. Non sappiamo inoltre se l’accesso sarà permesso anche a coloro che si collegano fuori dalla Cina oppure no.
