La playlist, infatti, sarà generata prendendo in esame i Mi piace accordati mediante il proprio profilo relativamente ai contenuti musicali e che, almeno in teoria, dovrebbero corrispondere a quelle che sono le preferenze di un dato utente.

L’app mette a disposizione dei controlli di base mediante cui gestire la riproduzione dei brani (alzare o abbassare il volume, mettere in pausa, stoppare e passare al brano successivo) e permette di visualizzare tutte le informazioni correlate al brano musicale in ascolto, eccezion fatta, cosa che a molti potrà sembrare abbastanza strana, per il titolo.

Oltre a poter essere impiegata in tal modo l’app offre l’opportunità di selezionare un’ulteriore modalità mediante cui ascoltare brani totalmente diversi da quelli rispondenti ai Mi piace accordati in modo tale da scoprire nuovi eventuali canzoni d’interesse.

MentorFM, va però sottolineato, risulta ancora un esperimento, almeno per il momento, poiché, tenendo conto del suo funzionamento, potrebbe essere apprezzata dalla vasta utenza del social network in blu così come, invece, potrebbe anche essere fortemente criticata.

L’app, infatti, resterà online soltanto per un dato periodo di prova in modo tale da poter capire se è stata valutata positivamente o meno dall’utenza Facebook e, sucessivamente, deciderne quindi le sorti.
