Google Street View: vedere prima di muoversi

Il colosso di Google sempre più cerca di espandere i propri orizzonti per conquistare maggiori visitatori basandosi sui propri servizi “esclusivi”. L’ultimo nato in casa BigG è Street View, un add on di Google Maps che permette in determinati punti del pianeta, di visualizzare in formato fotografico tridimensionale il posto di cui si è interessati.
Ad oggi, la strategia è quella di effettuare una mappatura fotografica di tutte le città viaggiando con un camioncino, o se necessario, anche con una bicicletta, per riprendere i luoghi del mondo. Il mezzo di trasporto preferito è la nota Google Car che spesso si vede aggirare per i paesi con una telecamera montata sopra per ripredere gli scorci ed i vicoli. Fatto sta che questa nuova funzionalità, ha ad oggi trovato delle critiche perchè non realmente corrispondente dal punto di vista dei numeri civici, ed è per questo che si sta pensando alla nascita di una nuova community by Google che permetta di visualizzare e di aggiornare (previa verifica di Google), l’esatta corrispondenza. E il problema privacy? Ad oggi già sono famosi i casi di rimozione dal network per motivi di privacy, a partire dalla villa di St John’s Wood di Sir Paul McCartney, oppure la Germania che sta testando prima il sistema per dare l’OK, o ancora la Grecia che dopo una settimana ha imposto la chiusura del servizio.

La community, sarebbe una specie di scappatoia anche dal punto di vista legale, perchè con le foto inviate dagli utenti, previo consenso, sarebbe più semplice la gestione dei territori. Ovviamente sono tutte supposizioni fatte dai rumors e Google non ha ancora annunciato come si muoverà, fatto sta che l’idea di una fotografia del mondo non dispiace nemmeno agli utilizzatori.
Quindi non vi preoccupate se un uomo munito di telecamera e con la maglia di Google gira per le vostre strade…anzi, sorridete al click.
