Toyota sta collaborando con Microsoft e Salesforce.com per lanciare un nuovo social network, chiamato Friend. Il progetto sarà attivo dal 2012, il sito è dedicato a tutti i possessori di auto Toyota, in particolare il social network è indirizzato a coloro che acquisteranno le nuove auto elettriche ed ibride della casa giapponese.

Toyota Friend saràlanciato inizialmente solo in Giappone e solo in un secondo tempo arriverà nel resto del mondo. I possessori di una vettura Toyota potranno associare il numero di serie dell’auto al proprio profilo, in questo modo sarà possibile gestire le pratiche burocratiche o contattare l’assistenza con un clic.
