Facebook “ritrova” un anello dopo 35 anni

Facebook complice di un ritrovamento fortuito e gradito dopo ben 35 anni. Parliamo di un anello, che ha viaggiato per tre decenni e mezzo ed ha attraversato l’Oceano, le Isole Caraibiche e poi è ritornato al dito della leggittima proprietaria. Il gioiellino è tornato nelle mani della signora Gina de Matteo Murgolo, italoamericana di Staten Island, un distretto dei cinque di New York, quasi dopo che la signora aveva perso le speranze. Lo ha ritrovato nella cassetta della posta e Facebook gioca un ruolo fondamentale in questa storia, ma procediamo per gradi.
L’anello era stato trovato da una ragazza residente a New York che era in vacanza a Porto Rico. Dopo anni e tanti viaggi, comunque l’anello era in buone condizioni al punto che si riuscisse ancora a leggere all’interno l’incisione con nome e cognome.

L’idea di Angelita, la giovane nuova proprietaria è stata quella di utilizzare Facebook, invece dei mezzi tradizionali per trovare la proprietaria (polizia o elenco telefonico). Una volta messa la foto dell’anello, e fatta condividere a tanti amici ecco che Gina ed Angelita si sono incontrate e la nota che ha accompagnato la riconsegna è stata: “Goditi l’anello e la sua storia”.
Le dichiarazioni della felice signora Gina sono state: “Mi sembra impossibile. Nonostante fosse molto importante per me, non ci avevo più pensato. Era il 1975 quando lo persi, durante una nuotata a Fire Island. Come da tradizione a me e ai miei colleghi l’avevano consegnato l’ultimo anno di corso. Ora sono felicissima.
