Chissà quanta banda consumerà il social network con tutto questo scambi di immagini, commenti e video. Non si osa immaginare. Se la società integra un tale servizio significa che di soldi ne ha, e anche tanti.

Sembra proprio che Facebook si stia preparando a lanciare un nuovo servizio, che aumenterà il tempo trascorso dagli utenti sul social network. Un’implementazione che cercherà di compensare la costante mancanza di una messaggistica istantanea, come quella offerta da gmail. Difatti, sotto questo punto di vista, il servizio lascia molto a desiderare, con periodi di invio e di risposta alquanto lunghi.

A queste condizioni, Facebook non può essere il principale canale di comunicazione per gli adulti, giovani e coloro che hanno utilizzato il sito come principale modo per entrare in contatto con i propri conoscenti. L’e-mail non funziona a dovere. Non solo Facebook perde nei confronti di Google quando si tratta di chat video, ma è messo anche a dura prova da altri servizi simili.

Con tutti questi strumenti di comunicazione è chiaro che Facebook vuole diventare l’hub centrale della comunicazione sul web per i suoi numerosi utenti.
