L’evasione fiscale sembra proprio che ai tempi di Internet stia cominciando ad avere una vita più dura. In Europa e soprattutto in Italia, dove il fenomeno dell’evasione è sempre stato molto alto, si sta sempre più attivando un movimento intorno a questo ambiente che deriva anche da una voglia di maggiore visibilità delle aziende che su Internet si pubblicizzano nei modi più assurdi anche utilizzando i social network.

In Belgio, gli agenti del Fisco, hanno deciso di attuare una nuova tecnica da essi stessi ideata per combattere l’evasione fiscale. Questa tecnica amica del Fisco ma nemica della privacy, consiste nell’approfondire la conoscenza dei possibili evasori proprio su Facebook.
In questo modo, a partire da informazioni tipo il lavoro, lo stile di vita, ed anche gli amici e le vacanze, si scoprono tante cose. In base a questi assunti, il Fisco belga, confronta le informazioni con i dati in proprio possesso e verifica le coincidenze. Sicuramente i più beccati, sono coloro che dichiarano redditi super bassi e poi su Facebook, mostrano con tanta enfasi il loro nuovo acquisto marcato Mercedes oppure Jaguar. Ad oggi, la tecnica, seppur non rappresenti proprio un metodo ortodosso e di conseguenza una prova plausibile di reato per evasione fiscale, serve soprattutto per far avviare determinate pratiche di controllo su soggetti a rischio.
Questa pratica sembra che stia trovando parecchi consensi nelle autorità, al punto che sono molti i colleghi del “Fisco” dei Paesi del Nord Europa che stanno cominciando ad attuare questa pratica di controllo. Anche se ad oggi si sono avuti determinati risultati soddisfacenti, si continuerà ad usarla, almeno “finché dura” a detta dei controllori.

Il fine giustifica i mezzi? Chissà, ad oggi, nessun evasore ha ancora lamentato l’invasione della propria privacy, probabilmente perchè con la coscienza sporca, il “reato” di invasione passa in secondo luogo rispetto a quello di evasione.
