Nokia Ovi Store, così si chiamerà il nuovo negozio online di applicazioni e contenuti della Nokia. Qual’è il suo proposito? Eccolo qui:

Offering a range of content including applications, games, videos, widgets, podcasts, location-based applications and personalized content, Ovi Store will be available on S60 and Series 40 devices. The first device to include the mobile storefront on board will be the Nokia N97, set to launch in June. Meanwhile tens of millions of existing S60 and Series 40 devices will be able to take advantage of the store from May. Ovi Store is unique in its ability to target content based on where you are, when you’re there, why you are where you are and who else has downloaded similar content.

La Nokia, grazie a questo Ovi Store, vuole offrire una gamma di contenuti, applicazioni, giochi, video, gadget, podcast, basati sulla localizzazione delle applicazioni e sulla personalizzazione dei contenuti. Il negozio online sarà disponibile sui cellulari S60 e S40. Il primo ad includere Ovi Store a bordo sarà il Nokia N97, insieme al suo lancio nel mese di giugno. Nel frattempo decine di milioni di esistenti S60 e S40 saranno in grado di trarre vantaggio del negozio a maggio. Ovi Store è l’unico nella sua capacità di indirizzare i contenuti in base a dove ci si trova, quando si è lì e chi altro ha scaricato contenuti simili.

I contenuti possono essere personalizzati in base a dove vivono gli utenti. Inoltre, una maggiore capacità di condivisione è resa possibile grazie a quella che è stata soprannominata la “scoperta funzione sociale“, che consentirà agli utenti di vedere che cosa sta usando i loro amici e fare loro domande per informarsi riguardo al nuovo giochino, applicazione, utility, ecc.
