Nel costante tentativo di capitalizzare l’incredibile numero di utenti iscritti e di provare al mondo che quella di Facebook non sia l’ennesima moda “passeggera”, gli sviluppatori del social network del momento potrebbero aver appena tirato fuori da cilindro una funzione destinata a lasciare il segno molto più dei vari “I like” o “Share”.

Lavorando sul una particolare parte di codice, infatti, gli sviluppatori di Facebook hanno creato “Facebook Connect“, un plug-in in grado di far interagire gli utenti in tutti i siti che lo utilizzano evitando lunghe e ripetitive iscrizioni grazie al riconoscimento immediato del proprio profilo Facebook.

Una prova della potenzialità di questa nuova “creazione” l’ha poi subito offerta la casa di software Zynga con lo sviluppo di un’applicazione per giocare a poker su iPhone ed iPod Touch chiamata LivePoker.

Scaricabile gratuitamente in versione Lite direttamente dallo Store di Apple, LivePoker è stato infatti considerato il primo gioco di poker “sociale” proprio grazie alle possibilità offerte dall’interazione tra dispositivo mobile e social network in un campo molto diverso da quello di messaggi privati, poke e commenti su foto del fine settimana.

Appena effettuato l’accesso al gioco, i giocatori devono solo inserire i propri dati di Facebook per essere poi subito sistemati al tavolo verde con tanto di foto e profilo per sfidare gli avversari a poker texas hold em.

In questo modo è quindi possibile personalizzarela propria esperienza di gioco in maniera molto maggiore rispetto a come concesso da sale “regolari” ed famose come TitanPoker, presentandosi agli avversari con il proprio profilo di Facebook, chattando con loro e – perchè no! – dando anche un’occhiata al loro profilo personale.

Dopo il successo raggiunto da LivePoker in termini di download, molti siti hanno incominciato ad utilizzare questa possibilità cercando di spingere i lettori a creare delle mini-comunità intorno alle loro pagine condividendo interessi e commenti.
