Facebook Lite è davvero così leggera?

Facebook Lite è finalmente in italiano. La versione “leggera” di Facebook, pensata per chi non dispone di una connessione veloce, tipo ADSL, è disponibile adesso in 70 linguaggi diversi. Trattandosi della versione leggera di Facebook, ci si aspettava un design sostanzialmente diverso da quello ufficiale, più simile a quello usato per le connessioni mobili. Invece no.

A prima vista, in homepage non notiamo una grande differenza, almeno per quanto riguarda la grafica, e più che una versione leggera, questa Facebook Lite somiglia ad una versione “semplificata” del social network, con meno inserzioni pubblicitarie (ed è già una bella cosa) e tutte le notizie, compresi gli eventi, concentrati nella parte superiore e a sinistra dello schermo, mentre le notifiche appaiono nella barra inferiore, con un effetto “pop up”. Le dimensioni e il peso delle immagini invece restano pressochè invariate.

La prima impressione è che Facebook Lite sia stata in qualche modo ottimizzata per i nuovi netbook, come gli EEE PC, ma questo basta per meritarsi la definizione di “leggera”?
