Verrà abolito il limite dei 5000 amici che in passato è stata la causa della rimozione di numerosi account, anche di personaggi famosi. Il motivo di questa piccola rivoluzione è da ricercarsi nel numero sempre crescente di celebrità e personaggi pubblici che usano Facebook per cementare il loro rapporto con i fan.

Il presidente americano Barack Obama, così come il gruppo rock degli U2, e tutte le «personalità pubbliche e altri ancora che hanno dei messaggi e una voce che vogliono far ascoltare», ha spiegato il fondatore di Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, potranno sfruttare questa nuova opportunità.
