Oggi vi parliamo di social reading di cui vi abbiamo già parlato tempo addietro, una nuova realtà che sta appassionando sempre più soggetti amanti dei libri e delle storie. Questa volta però parliamo di un social network dedicato ai libri tutto Made in Italy, che permetterà ai lettori di approcciarsi in una maniera diversa al mondo della lettura. Il sito si chiama BookLiners e permetterà agli iscritti di consultare tantissimi e-book in maniera gratuita ed allo stesso tempo, permetterà anche la condivisione degli stessi on line.

A differenza degli altri siti di social reading presenti in rete, BookLiners, ha una nuova modalità che si reputa “alternativa” nella lettura. Parliamo della modalità collettiva, cioè, un modo di leggere l’ebook che permette di sottolineare alcune parti del testo, di inserire delle note al lato o sotto il testo e corredare il tutto con dei link di approfondimento che possono essere scambiati in tempo reale con gli altri lettori / amici che sono on line in quel momento.

Oltre a questo, da BookLiners, si potrà effettuare la ricerca di parti specifiche di un testo dove sono stati fatti dei commenti di altri lettori, così da potersi confrontare con altri lettori su spunti e riflessioni.
Secondo quanto scritto dalle riviste di settore, l’idea principale del social reading BookLiners è quella nascosta dietro all’e-book reader Kindle di Amazon, che ha cercato in questi anni di trasformare la lettura in una attività sociale e da condividere con i nuovi strumenti del web 2.0. Grazie a BookLiners, on line si potrà quindi fare tutto il percorso di un lettore.

L’iter dell’utente sul social reading è analogo a quello del social network. Ci si iscrive, si mettono dentro un po’ di dati personali, si carica una foto profilo, si possono fare richieste di amicizia e quanto altro. Inoltre però, gli iscritti a BookLiners potranno partecipare alle anteprime dei libri, essere in contatto diretto con gli autori e con le case editrici e soprattutto navigare in una area dedicata agli acquisti con un e-commerce tutto dedicato ai libri in formato elettronico.
